How do we separate ourselves from the myriad of cutters in our area? We do not take a cookie cutter approach to lawn maintenance. We concentrate on what we are really good at, Commercial and Residential Lawn Maintenance.

The answer to this: No matter how big or how long we’ve been in business, the rules have changed. It’s not business as usual, thanks in large part to the economy that has crowded the lawn maintenance market with competitors from all walks of life, that puts incredible down pressure on pricing. Many of these new competitors will be around for only one year some two. They are not licensed or insured, the only experience they have is mowing with a garden tractor or push behind Briggs and Stratton. In many cases they do a fine job for a year or two, but they are not in it for the long haul. Remaining competitive in the lawn maintenance industry requires, state licensing,  continued education from lawn and landscape associations and training centers, Safety certification, chauffeurs drivers licenses, medical cards, DOT Certification and local, city, county and state business licenses.

We remain flexible, creative, disciplined and offer lawn maintenance programs to fit your requirements. Communication is the key to serving and having great customer service. Expectations and Higher Quality once a point of difference is now a requisite if we are to successfully compete for your lawn maintenance and gardening services. Our customers expect quality lawn maintenance. We insist on it with our trained crews and Kyle and I personally train and inspect work completed.

 

A Lawn Maintenance Company differentiates itself by the way it communicates with Property managers, Home owner associations, condominium boards, City, County and State governments, Home owners and their grown adult children and caretakers. It’s all about us build confidence and trust.

 

We’ve always had to price competitively, but today I can always be surprised by long time clients who accept extremely low bids sometimes 30% to 40% lower than previous years. Be careful some companies will do and say anything for your account. In the Grand Rapids Area last year several established large lawn care services were forced out of business mid year because they priced themselves out of business.  We try to separate ourselves from our competitors, don’t just take a low bid, tell us your needs, wishes troubles lower budgets, you just became unemployed, communicate to us your individual situation. We can hear your pain, make adjustments, maybe we can adjust your pricing, cut back on some services, but not quality, extend your monthly payments out a month or two. Ask us to back off on services to save you money when needed. In essence we’re now put in a position to find a happy medium between price and service level for you our lawn and landscape customer.

 

Again communication is the key to customer service in the lawn and landscape business. Every employee has a phone.
